We are honored to say that PBPR's president Rebecca Szmukler Seelig was a candidate for 2009 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year campaign.
No, she did not win the Leukemia and Lymphoma Woman of the Year title, but she did raise over $13,000 for the cause surpassing her goal by $3,000. In total, the group raised over $170,000, that alone is amazing and we thank all of you who supported us throughout the last 10 weeks.
Thank you to Carolyn Broadhead for organizing the campaign and planning out all of our events. Carolyn helped bring in sponsors and her creativity was endless. We could not have done it without her!
Thank you to David Abell for your support through the last 10 weeks. Your generosity was never ending, and we appreciate all you did for us and the campaign. Thank you to Pat Kelly for letting us invade your home for the 80's party and for your support at our events. You were great and we appreciate you being there for us.

Your hospitality at our event was fabulous and your food was amazing, and thank you to Sobieski Vodka for ALL of your support throughout the campaign. A thank you needs to also go out to Robin Forman from Southern Wine & Spirits for her assistance with the wine tasting at Cloud Nine Cigar Bar. We would also like to thank artist Beth Williams. Beth was so generous donating an original piece of art for the live auction, and she connected us to her dad Bob at Kanitsch Framing Gallery who donated his frame services for a few of our auction items.
A BIG shout out needs to go to Lee Seelig. Lee was always there to pick up or drop off an auction item or to help deliver food and beverages for a party. Lee watched Ben when I was busy with a meeting or event, and he attended all the events he could even with his crazy work schedule. Lee was an integral part of the campaign and huge part of its success!
Finally, a HUGE thank you goes out to all of you who supported the campaign. It really wouldn't have been a success without all of you so pat yourself on the back and know that you helped make a difference!
