Legendary Torrey Pines Golf Course to Play Host to 2009 Samsung World Championship September 16-20

SAN DIEGO -- Torrey Pines Golf Course, regarded as one of the world’s top golf courses and home to the 2008 U.S. Open Championship, will again play host to the world’s best players in 2009. Announced today, the Samsung World Championship will be played at the San Diego facility’s famed South Course, September 16-20.

The Milk Jug Distributes Over $126K to Local Charities

Nick Price and his wife Sue ----------------- Paul Kaneb, Kevin Murphy and John Martin

JUPITER, Fla. – The Milk Jug, an annual fundraising affair hosted by professional golfer Nick Price, local businessman David Abell, and Peter Lund, the president of McArthur Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla., announces they raised over $126,000 during their last event at McArthur Golf Club, and now will be distributing those funds to more than 14 local charities throughout South Florida.

PGA Professional Kellie Stenzel Garners another Top Award

PALM BEACH, Fla. -- PGA Professional Kellie Stenzel of Palm Beach Gardens, has once again been bestowed a teaching accolade. In addition to her Golf for Women Top-50 instructor designation and Golf Digest touting her as one of the top golf instructors in New York, Stenzel has been selected as one of Golf Magazine’s Top-100 Teachers in America.

ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival Wraps Up a Successful Weekend

JUPITER, Fla. – The ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival at Abacoa in Jupiter, Fla., wrapped up a successful festival with thousands of patrons attending throughout the weekend. After kicking off on Valentine’s Day, patrons flowed through the gates to peruse the over 300 artists who had been selected to show at this year's ArtiGras. Out of those 300 artists, Thomas Maras of Hudson, Wis., took home Best of Show with his work in glass.

The Junior League of the Palm Beaches Announces Winners of the Woman Volunteer of the Year Award

PALM BEACH, Fla. – On Monday, February 23, 2009, The Junior League of the Palm Beaches, at their annual Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon supported by The Esther B. O’Keeffe Foundation and National City, announced that the recipients of the 2009 Woman Volunteer of the Year Award are all 13 nominees. These honored women were nominated by their respective non-for-profit organizations for their time and dedication to their cause.
