JUPITER,
The Loggerhead Triathlon, co-sponsored by the Triathlon Club of the Palm Beaches and the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, is a sprint triathlon with competitors starting the race with a 3/8 of a mile swim in the Atlantic Ocean off of Carlin Park, followed by a 13 mile bike ride along scenic A1A, finishing with a five kilometer run also on A1A.
ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival Returns to Abacoa Presidents' Day Weeken - February 14-16, 2009
JUPITER, Fla. – Florida’s premiere fine arts festival, ArtiGras, produced by the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, will be returning to Abacoa in Jupiter during Presidents’ Day Weekend -- February 14, 15, and 16, 2009.
Celebrating its 24th year, ArtiGras is an outdoor arts event showcasing a juried exhibition of outstanding fine art and crafts, and featuring activities which include live entertainment, artist demonstrations, children’s interactive art activities, celebrity art auction and a youth art competition. Listed as one of the top 50 festivals in the country, ArtiGras 2009 expects more than 150,000 guests over the three-day holiday weekend.
Sexy Stroller Moms Fit Camp Coming to PGA Commons
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. --Sexy Stroller Moms Fit Camp – a workout program designed by two nationally recognized Palm Beach fitness professionals – is now meeting at PGA Commons East (4550 PGA Boulevard) in the courtyard by Baby Alexandra. Sexy Stroller Moms will meet at 9:15 a.m. three day a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Sexy Stroller Moms Fit Camp is a complete weight loss program designed specifically to help new and busy moms drop the mommy belly and get back into shape, while getting to share the workout experience with their baby or toddler and other moms. Moms will feel the burn from light weight lifting to cardio aerobic exercises, all while interacting with their children and utilizing their stroller.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 6th Annual Business Showcase Tradeshow titled “EVOLVE” and presented by Roger Dean Stadium on Monday, June 2, 2008 at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.
Approximately 100 businesses and over 1,200 attendees gathered to share ideas and network with each other during the trade show and Small Business Summit. During the Small Business Summit, small business owners and managers attended seminars which included How to Market Your Business Online presented by WPBF, How Going Green can help improve your Bottom Line presented by FPL, How to Lower Your Employee Medical Insurance Costs presented by Charles Gilbert and Associates, and How to Successful Brand Your Business presented by Intelligent Office.
Yani Tseng Secures Spot in ADT Championship; Eleven Others Qualify Through ADT Points List
HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. –- LPGA Tour rookie Yani Tseng claimed the first victory of her career and earned a spot in the season-ending ADT Championship by winning the second major of the LPGA Season – the McDonald’s LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola. Tseng, the first Taiwanese player to win an LPGA major, became a Rolex First-Time Winner by making a birdie on the fourth hole of a sudden-death playoff against Sweden’s Maria Hjorth.
The McDonald’s LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola was also the last tournament of the first half of the LPGA Playoffs 2008, allowing the top-11 players on the ADT Points List to join Tseng in the ADT Championship field. Leading the list was Paula Creamer with 923,742 points, followed by Jeong Jang with 664,249. In third place on the ADT Points list was Song-Hee Kim (509,000), and Karrie Webb came in fourth with 505,867 ADT Points. Suzann Pettersen (484,664) claimed the fifth place on the list followed by rookie Na Yeon Choi (464,709); Maria Hjorth (422,446); Karen Stupples (378,342) and Jee Young Lee (375,695). Inbee Park was in 10th place with 368,124 ADT Points while Laura Diaz was the final qualifier with 367,228.
