After nearly 10 years, PR veteran Rebecca Seelig departed The PGA of America to establish Palm Beach Public Relations (PBPR), a boutique public relations firm headquartered in West Palm Beach, Fla.

PBPR assists organizations in creating and implementing communication plans for a whole company or for one specific event. Currently, PBPR is working with the LPGA to promote this year’s ADT Championship and the LPGA Playoffs. PBPR's services include: communication plan development, media relations, news release creation and distribution to traditional and non-traditional mediums, pitching stories and by-lined articles, Web site layout design, press kit development, creation of message and speaking points, special event coordination and more.

Rebecca Seelig, APR
President

PBPR relies on Ms. Seelig’s experience which includes more than a decade of media and public relations practice. At The PGA of America, Ms. Seelig managed the promotion of PGA Professionals and communication of their major Championships which included the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. In addition, Ms. Seelig has worked with the Florida Marlins Baseball Club, Orange Bowl Committee and University of Florida Athletic Association.

Ms. Seelig achieved a Masters of Sports Administration from Ohio University and is only one of a few public relations practitioners in the nation to achieve Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Public Relations Society of America.


Carolyn Broadhead
Director of Events & Special Projects

Ms. Broadhead joined Palm Beach Public Relations in the spring of 2007 as the Director of Events and Special Projects. Ms. Broadhead’s comprehensive sales, promotions, and marketing experience spans over a decade in diverse settings ranging from hotel group sales to event planning to retail management. Ms. Broadhead brings to PBPR her extensive knowledge of event planning and marketing expertise.

Ms. Broadhead earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management Operations from Cornell University. In addition, Ms. Broadhead is very involved in the community serving on committees for the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, the American Heart Association and the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach. For the Junior League, Ms. Broadhead served two years as the Chairperson for their Woman Volunteer of the Year event coordinating the largest fundraiser of the organization.


Catherine Lee Broadhead
Director of Business Development

Catherine Lee Broadhead comes to Palm Beach Public Relations with over ten years experience working in education and marketing. With her experience teaching, consulting, developing and coordinating programs, Miss Broadhead brings an invaluable perspective to PBPR.

Miss Broadhead earned her Master in Business Administration from the Johnson  Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. There she completed the Leadership Focus Program and worked for Cornell Outdoor Education, the most comprehensive collegiate outdoor education program in he country.  She was also elected to the Student Council and served as Faculty Chair, creating the successful Faculty-Student Lunch Program. 

Miss Broadhead graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kenyon College, where she is an active volunteer. She was given the Distinguished Service Award last year and serves as a Special Gifts Chair for the current capital campaign. Miss Broadhead also earned a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody School., where she graduated with top honors and was Vice President of the school’s chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education.
